
Vanessa Chow believes that everyone deserves to have fulfilling relationships with oneself, with family members, and with his/her partner; and that includes having an enjoyable sex life. She has a great passion for teaching and talking about relationships and sex. She is committed to enabling clients to become fully in touch with their sexuality and to relate themselves to their partner sexually. She provides workshops and counselling to individuals, couples and parents who would like to improve the quality of their relationships – the parent-child relationship, couple relationship, and sexual relationship.
After over sixteen years of working in the business environment in Canada, Australia and Hong Kong, Vanessa felt an urge to expand her abilities and to support others to find happiness in their relationships. She received training on behaviour management and on the Positive Parenting Program (Triple P), and started working with young children and parents in both Australia and Hong Kong. During this period, she developed an interest in sexuality and sexual health education. Vanessa has a Master of Health Science (Sexual Health) from University of Sydney. She is also a member of the World Association of Chinese Sexologists and the Australian Association of Sex Educators, Researchers and Therapists.
Through her years of working in a range of professional fields and living in various parts of the world, Vanessa has acquired a great deal of life experience and extensive knowledge. She has the ability to communicate and build a rapport with individuals from various backgrounds. She works with individuals and couples who are experiencing challenges in their relationship, and couples who want to improve the quality of their sex life. She develops and facilitates talks and workshops on a range of topics, including communication skills, conflict resolution techniques, intimacy, sexuality, sexual functioning, and sex toys. In addition, Vanessa has a strong interest in sexual education for Autistic teenagers. She is also involved in educating parents on parenting skills and child sexual education through various organisations, including The School of Continuing Education – Tsinghua University (Beijing, China), the Methodist Centre Continuing Education Service, and the Caritas Parents Resource Centre.
Vanessa provides a compassionate, sensitive, confidential and professional service for her clients. She studies and practices meditation and yoga, and brings these philosophies and practices into her work methodology. She utilises her vast knowledge and has an holistic approach that encourages the harmonious balance between mind, body and emotions.
